Questions specific to the position

1. Would you support more federal funding to expand voter access and enhance election security? This is not a role for the federal government; this is a State responsibility. We do not need a FEDERALIZED ELECTION SYSTEM.
2. In recent years, voters have expressed concern that their votes don't matter due to election security concerns, the possibility of foreign influence, and the role of large money in elections. What measures would you propose to address these issues? This is a false problem brought up by the established political parties. There are no measures as this is not a real issue.
3. What can the Federal government do to raise the basic economic health and even the playing field so all U.S. citizens have equal opportunities? What measures would you support to address the following goals (please provide examples of specific legislation or programs)? a. A living wage for all workers:
No one deserves a living wage. Everyone does deserve and equal chance. I would eliminate the Minimum Wage, occupational licensing, Limited Liability Corporation protections, and the Federal Reserve.
b. Paid sick leave for all workers:
That is between private labor and the employee; government as no business in the private agreements between parties except to enforce contracts.
c. Ensuring pay equity for all workers:
That is between private labor and the employee; government as no business in the private agreements between parties except to enforce contracts.
d. Providing access to quality child care and early childhood education:
The Federal Government has no role in providing child care nor education. That is a parent responsibility.
e. Improving the quality of K-12 education for all children:
The Federal Government has no role in providing education. That is a parent responsibility.
f. Providing affordable higher education:
The Federal Government has no role in providing education. Additionally I would eliminate the Federal Study Loan Programs.
g. Removing barriers to financing and housing:
The Federal Government has no role in providing housing nor financing of housing. That is between the seller and the buyer.
h. Providing access to affordable healthcare for all:
The Federal Government has no role in providing healthcare for anyone.
4. What can be done at the Federal level to improve public safety and confidence in law enforcement? Would you support measures to address the following (please answer yes or no and provide examples of specific legislation): a. Reallocate resources and funds from policing/law enforcement to address social ills that plague many disinvested communities:
Eliminate the so-called war on drugs, which is really the war on the poor. Stop creating victimless criminals. Repeal drug laws including prescription drug laws. Treat drug usage as a MEDICAL issue not Legal issue.
b. Reform qualified immunity:
Eliminate qualified immunity and establish community boards to oversee allegations. Helpful for all citizen facing government employees to wear a camera.
c. Ban use of excess force (e.g., chokeholds, shoot to kill):
Encourage peace officers in communities and not law enforcement officers. Peace officers helps the citizens; law enforcement are for punishing.
d. Establish a nationwide database of law enforcement officers found to have used excessive force:
This is not the role of the Federal Government. However, if States or local communities wants to create a type of Credit Bureau database for hiring purposes; that would be proper of resources.
e. Ban the providing of local police departments with military equipment:
Yes, stop the selling of Federal Military equipment at steep discounts and allow all citizens to purchase them. The right to bare arms goes beyond just a musket.
5. Do you support a system for undocumented immigrants already in the country to earn legal status and to have a path to citizenship? If so, what steps do you consider necessary? No. Immigration laws are *NOT* constitutional. The only proper constitutional responsibility is for voting eligibility and candidate qualifications. It is not to control labor or the movement of people.
