Questions specific to the position

1. How can the NOPD force be increased, while maintaining high standards? NOPD officers who wish to live in the City will be offered the deed to blighted homes. I would turn the French Quarter to the National Park Service which would free about 300 officers to focus on other areas of the city.
2. Will you support an ordinance to establish an independent external evaluation of the Ethics Review Board as called for in the Charter? Please explain your answer. We will establish a blue ribbon committee to look at privatization of the Sewage & Water Board. Privatization will then be voted on by the people.
3. What do you think are the three (3) most important issues facing the citizens of New Orleans. Infrastructure, Public Safety, Economic Development
4. What steps would you propose for improving the Sewerage and Water Board? I believe infrastructure set up should remain same however we must all work togethe to improve it every day. I do not believe in privatizing the sewage and water board turning it over to another large corporation like Entergy. I believe people working for sewage and water board are dedicated public employees and I wish to support them. But on the other hand I wish to improve evolve every aspect of their work to a better & higher level. I will organize a high level team of engineers To advise and supplement.
5. How do you propose to reduce crime, and especially violent crime, in the city? As Mayor I would bring the court system, DA, and Chief of Police together so we are on the same page.
