Questions specific to the position

1. Do you feel like the wages for municipal employees, such as the NOFD and EMS are adequate, and if not, how do you propose raising them? NO, Let’s be realistic. Paying these hard working people especially Firefighters eleven dollars an hour for risking their lives to stop our city from BURNING is not a living wage. I would dig into the Budget and try to find any extra money we have. Like we’re paying for 1600 Police, but we only have maybe 900.
2. Will you support an ordinance to establish an independent external evaluation of the Ethics Review Board as called for in the Charter? Please explain your answer. Yes I will support our Home Rule Charter
3. In your role as the regulatory body for Entergy, what factors would you consider to increase rates? We need not to increase rates on the consumer, but bring in some competition and stop Entergy from being the soul provider!!!
4. Where is the best site for a new City Hall and why? New Orleans East is the best site for City Hall. Because we have the LAND to accommodate such a big move City Hall, Civil Court, and Parking Lots and much more.
