Formed in 2018, the LWV Greater Baton Rouge Unit (LWVGBR) is a nonpartisan organization with the dual goals of encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influencing public policy through education and advocacy. LWVGBR publishes a voter’s guide for each local election, holds voter registration drives, and engages in other activities promoting participation in democracy.



LWVBR meets on the second Wednesday of each month from January to October at the Main Library (7711 Goodwood Blvd.). Join us in a meeting to learn more about the work we are doing. Please email to RSVP. The meeting schedule for 2020 is:
